EREIM at REBEC2025

Rick van Heumen, our CEO has participated for the second time in the biggest regional real estate summit REBEC Real Estate Belgrade Exhibition & Conference, and took part in Institutional panel, RE SEE Economic outlook.

Rick van Heumen shared the stage with Tijana Matijašević (Banca Intesa), Anina Milanović (Securities Commission) and Christophe Nègre (Systema Capital Partners) and Vladimir Vasic, as moderator.

Tijana Matijašević gave us important insights, generated data and up-to-date macroeconomic trends and forecasts that will surely have impact on real estate industry.

Anina Milanović gave valuable overview on the institutional framework related to capital markets and alternative investments in real estate, as well as the importance of activating dormant funds and placing them in various kinds of investments. Anina also highlighted leading position of Serbia in tokenization.

Rick van Heumen shared his view on the current situation in Serbian real estate market including alternative investments in real estate and the potential impact of macroeconomic forecasts. Rick stated that every action should be delt with great care and taken with caution. When dealing with money of private investors, EREIM, as management company of alternative investment funds for real estate, takes into account all potential risks involved and proceeds with projects with high probability for positive outcome. And in the current market situation ‘time-to-market’ is key! This approach is a proven investment method, the way to care-free success and, as Rick stated, it works everywhere in the world, so it surely will work in Serbia, as well.

Cristophe Negre has shared his experience in starting business in Serbia and is optimistic about the potential this market has. Cristophe highlighted that foreign businesses are moving to Serbia, due to the quality of workforce, location and business opportunities.

Vladimir Vasic, as moderator, concluded with the panellists that Serbian real estate market, in terms of alternative investments, is at the very beginning but with the great potential and that education of the general public continues to be one of the key factors for the growth on investment activities.
